Uhm, is this an April Fool's Joke?

If not, Sky is not transmitted from any mountain, but from satellites in orbit in the Sky...

No its not an april fools was that meant to be smart? In Limerick choras digital is transmitted from woodcock hill so all them dishes point towards there. But the sky dishes point in the opposite direction.

This is a satellite forum and sky digital do not have transmitters. All dishes using sky are pointed at a satellite above the equator. I thought it was an april fools joke too.

Perhaps he was referring to a chorus or other transmitter and did not explain himself correctly.

    :D

But as Tony said, he was probably referring to Chorus

"Chorus uses a broadcast system to supply its MMDS Television service to subscribers. Signals are broadcast from its main transmission mast in Tipperary backed up in rural areas by a mini transmitter known as a ‘beambender’"

That was funny! But the OP is not alone.

I have been asked on more than one occasion "Where is the Sky Digital mast located?".

No doubt the installer was referring to Keeper Hill.
