Business Cards

    Well,
I'm looking to do a job this weekend at a local awards event and out of it I'll be selling prints (I hope :)), I figured I should really stick a business card in with the prints as it might get me future work.

I've been looking for places that would do business cards for a decent price but also look ok, I've seen cards done by photobox.ie but they were cut all arse ways, so my next though was to maybe use moo.com minicards as a simple business card.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

The moo cards are pretty cool! A little smaller than the standard bus card though.

Did you try giving snap printing a call. Grabbed one of their business cards just a few minutes ag I was thinking along the same lines.

I got mine done in Reads a good while back, think it was €100 for 1000. Good quality - Front & back colour. I was in a huge rush and thus they cut a few of them badly so I gave out stink and got them for half-price.

I'm sure if your not pressuring them to have them cut within 20mins you'll get perfect cards :)

    Best of luck!

I use the moo cards and they tend to get attention since they're so different. People seem to pay more attention to them.

Since I need them kinda quick and I'd like something different I might try moo for the cards, trishw78 thanks for sending me on the picture with the size difference to a standard card size..

Baz, I normally deal with ADSL Broadband as apposed to cable at work (although I use NTL myself I've never had issues), none the less I've replied. :)

I used VistaPrint, designed one, front and back really quickly using their template (for measurments) had them in two days, maybe three. Great quality. I don't understand the Moo cards thing. Their different because their small right? Very small.

This is it by the way

    Back:

Came out really nice. Not flimsy either, good thickness.

I've got 250 cards from vistaprint
I'm less than impress with the quality
I've gone for the basic "premium" product, so, no glossy or film and only one side
    they came dull and flimsy
anyway, including delivery they were less than a tenner so not much lost there

www.vistaprint.ie are very good. Its around €40 for 500 cards, easy to customise (design, paper type etc)

I gotta recommend vistaprint - I ordered 500 of their basic "premium" cards with fast deliver. Arrived in 5 days. Quality is as good as cards Snap Print was charging me €1.20 EACH, but cost me €0.06 each...

Moo cards are brilliant! I did not expect them to be quite so small though, but for 15e you can get 100 different ones, I did that cause some images turned out terribly in their strange tight crop, but the few times Ive given them to someone "important" theyve really liked them and it was a conversation starter!

I've used reads and found them to be very good.. U can email in ur order n collect it when it suits. Lads are really sound.. I've had a load of printing done by them

I got my moo cards today, there not to bad, happy with the quality although they are pretty small but that could be something that will cause them to be remembered :)

I choose 4 different pictures so I have 25 of each as I wanted to see what they'd come out line and if I didn't like one of the pictures I'd still have cards to use,

when I get abit of time I'll throw up some photos of them in my flickr a/c

    Picked up my cards yesterday.
They were delivered on Friday, but I was off work.

    Got them off Print100
    200x80-B.gif

You basically get 300 double sided, colour cards for €20
    That included the FedEx.
Ordered on Sunday evening, delivered on Friday morning.

You download a template off their website & design your own card, which is just what I needed.
They printed exactly what I sent them & the quality is very good.
    I have absolutely no complaints.
Sure for €20, you can't go wrong!

I got 10 free moo cards when I joined flickr so I sent off for them a few weeks ago.
Then my postman's mailbag got stolen and I never got them so presumably they were in it. I e-mailed them and they immediately sent out more. I got them yesterday and they are fab. Really good quality and nice and thick!
