Currently building new house, so I asked my builder to put rear speaker cables for my Samsung surround sound system under the floor before he put it down. Anyway, he went and put them down the wrong way around (i.e the speaker connector is beside dvd/amp and the dvd connector is beside speakers)!!!!

Is it ok just to snip the plastic connectors off and stick them on the right end? Its just normal skinny speaker cable.
