Never did understand the 'it only exists up until 12 noon' line. Is there some reaons behind it, or it just some killjoy fvcking aournd? Or is it April 2nd now?

Are we allowed to play practical jokes again after midnight, or is that IT for the whole year?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

practical jokes can and should be played at anytime of the year. the only difference between April fools and the rest is that the cringeworthy awful jokes are tolerated where a prompt slapping would be dealt out otherwise.

    :pac:

Traditionally, in some countries, the jokes only last until noon. If you play a trick on someone after this time you are the April Fool. Elsewhere, for example in France, the jokes may last all day.

Oh noes, I has lost teh powah! :(

One day as a mod and I'm in bits - my septum fell out from cocaine abuse and I caught syphilis from one of the hookers. I've also got "moderators' cramp" from all the beatings I dished out with the banstick.

Ah man I'm not a moderator anymore. But 6th still is, doesn't anyone know it ends at noon? ;)

That 12 noon thing is nonsense.

    It's April Fool's DAY,
    Not April fool's 12 hours.

And it started about a week ago ;)

6th was always a mod, just not of AH.

And you do realise that website posted by the OP is a joke right?

maybe a load of idiots came up with this notion.

Wait... we were all mods??? Damn my job and having no internet access!

Don't worry, I read the other thread!

Yeah after pulling my prank I've been preparing, some guy starts talking about this noon crap. I don't believe. I think some pussy just made it up because he was too scared.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,834 ✭✭✭dloob

I think this noon thing was invented by someone who is trying to avoid being fooled.

There was no noon clause when I was a young fella.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 86,729 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

I think the noon clause is a practical joke in itself tbh. Possibly the greatest one of all time, seeing as how people keep beleiving it year after year.

Can anybody give any logical reason as to why it's only supposed to last till 12pm? Doesn't bother me that people think this. I'll risk being called the April fool if I humiliate somebody in a hilarious manner at 23:30
