i have to make a short presentation about myself on front of an interview panel and also all the trainees going for the job.
if it's good enough i'll be asked to go back for interview, so it's kinda important.

in this presentation should i go on about how great i am etc.. my skills and abilities... or what?
it has to be 5 mins long.

any advice would be appreciated! :(

sell yourself but dont come across as cocky or arrogant. nobody likes that.

just basically re-write your CV as a presenation as such. in other words, start by introducing yourself, then explaining a bit about your college education, then go into your work history starting at the oldest and working up until present day and tell them what you have learnt in that time, what skills and abilites you have carried with you from job to job, what interests you about your job. and then finally what you want from your career and what you hope to achieve in your long term.

Youself - hi im Dotfuscator and i am from X.
Education - i have a degree in Busienss Studies which i got at X college.
Career - i started my career in sales working for X, i then moved to X where id did X, etc.
Objectives - in X years time i hope to be in a position to X. The reason I want to work with your company is becuase they offer excellent oppurtunities in X and i feel i could bring X to the role. i really feel that this is the company i can see myself working with in the long term, etc, etc, etc.

    i hope this helps.

    good luck with it.
