Was gonna go up in the next week or so myself, as I know the guy running the store
I heard the stocks nearly all gone already!

Think there's a thread somewhere about it, he got plenty of media exposure so that helped. Tis a bit over priced on the website...

Cant say im surprised with all the free publicity he's been getting, I haven't been out yet but will likely drop out some time next week if I get a chance

Yeah I dropped out on friday before the footy match to pick up some gas... Seems pretty sparse at the moment.. more like an army supply store rather then an airsoft store.. Think Millits with a few airsoft rifles thrown in and yeah horrendously overpriced

Are the prices in store the same as online?

I was out with him today and and Saturday with NOIP and O1s1n.

His stock is entirely gone of AEG's (save a few G3 Ofisars) and pistols. Thursday he is expecting a shipment but its all presold and following thursdays is also almost presold. He's doing ok from what I can tell.

What's kinda worrying is that he has sold all thes AEG's and we haven't seen any noticeable increase in forum visitors/members. I wonder if there will be an increase in people at the skirmish sites.

    I hope so...

On another note, a close friend of mine is working there now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,641 ✭✭✭zero19

Maybe, but it shows people haven't researched airsoft much if they just went and payed double the price for stuff you'd get off other retailers. Really sickens me to be honest

Don't know about there being an increase in skirmishing but I know that the can population if the bray area is about to take a hit if ya know what I mean ;)

Think somebody said somewhere that the prices were just working totals as the site was built and that they were actually cheaper.

I was in there on saturday. I knew before I went in for a gander that he was dear. Wasn't impressed that one of the staff was showing handguns to a bunch of kids with no adult with them!

As long as he didn't sell it to them, I don't see a problem.
I show kids my stuff too, but they cant buy it if they don't have a parent.

I appreciate that people may be concerned about under 18s purchasing airsoft gear, but less of the unfounded accusations and assumptions please gents.

Blay, do me a favor will you? PLease think before you post with regard to these kinds of issue.

Myself, Oisin and NOIP were giving Peter a hand on Saturday and I did the saem again on Monday when his alarm was being repaired.

Questioning whether he would sell to minors if a parent was not around is nonsense. I have observed the way the operation runs and I am satisifed that their is no issue.

Further more, did you know that Peter himself asked if I would organise a "mystery shopper system" to make sure that everyone knows he isnt doing anything of the sort?

Anyway, it will be nice to have a shop south of Dublin to have a look at guns n gear.

I'd certainly hope so, not that intend to buy from the place/frequent the shop anytime soon

Yeah Pete's of the same frame of mind as most airsofters here, and wont sell to minors.

And guys please remember he's just opened, to cover costs he probably has to be a bit more pricey compared to the others for a little while.
I was talking to him and apparently there is plans for some good camo coming in
As long as theres more ACU stuff I'll be there :D

Hi I'm new to this website.

    My name is Jim

I too am a friend of Peter, I have known him for almost 20 years.

I can tell you straight up that Peter is a stand up guy.

I also find it a little hard to swallow claims of Peter selling guns to kids.

Peter does have a quirky sense of humour, but he is very serious regarding his business.

What I can tell you is that Peter is the type of guy that would drive across the country to help you out.

In fact if involves tearing up the garden and reshaping riverbeds with diggers and dumpers from 5AM till one in the morning for five days in a row I would imagine that Peter would be straight out to you.

I have read the media reports too.

Point scoring using what the local politicians see as an easy target.

I also know Bray very well as I used to live there, let me tell you there are much much more sinister things going on in Bray that the politicians are not bothered with. Last time I was there there were cigarette vending machines in all of the pubs, clubs and newsagents! Not a word about that!

I was down at Go Tactical with my wife and two kids the day before the shop officially opened. I met up with Peter to wish him the best and to have a look at the set up. I am now the proud owner of an XXL Go Tactical T shirt ( brown ).

I drove up from Tipperary to see what all the fuss was about. I'll be honest, I have not visited any of the other Airsoft retailers as of yet but I will.

Peter has a military background as some of you know. Personally I think that he picked up some serious life skills in the Irish Army, he has run his own businesses for donkeys years now and I am certain that he will make good on this venture too.

I live in Roscrea, I could easily see the people down this direction going for the Airsoft experience. Although when I first moved here I was almost immediatley offered a hunting trip whilst at the local. They are all mad about dogs too...hmmmm should I start a breeding your chocolate labrador thread??????????

Having spent years living in Wicklow I would have to say that the terrain between the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains is spot on for Airsoft.

Fair play to Peter and best of luck mate!

Was in today with my friend who works there and the place is looking very nice, everythis's completly sold out. The next two shipments are completly sold out... I wouldn't bo worried about minors being sold guns, sometimes kids aren't even allowed in without an adult and they certainly aren't allowed buy anything without a gaurdian.

I was talking to Peter and he seems like a great guy, very nice and helpful to all the customers.
I think it's very unfair that he should be getting any critism.
