Im going on a road trip in the US and Canada for 3 weeks. I want to purchase a Sat Nav for the journey. The Navman S30 is supposed to be excellent value. Obviously this will come with Europe maps but how do i get US and Canada maps onto it temporarily for my trip. il obviously want to revert back to my Europe map when i get home.
    Anyone any experience with this?

I can't comment on the Navman but I have a Tom Tom GO910 which I have used in the US and it was fantastic.

Well worth bringing your own with you.

How much would one of them cost ya?

Do you happen to know if there is a Garmin with the same spec, ie. Euro and USA maps>

If I car remember correctly the Go910 was about €400 ish.

What I will say about it though is that it is fantastic in the US & UK (I travel to both quite a lot) but rubbish for Ireland.

Whenever I use it in Dublin it always tries to send me the wrong way up one way streets  so I have to rely on my trusty map for the big smoke.
