I'm thinking about buying a new MP3, saw this one and price seems decent enough, Creative used to be good enough few years ago so...

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=323588

Anybody have any opinions on this player?
Not looking for anything big, just something for couple of hours of play.

Also I'm wondering about buying music from the iTunes store, I'm presuming the format will play on a Creative player?

Only the tracks marked with a plus sign in the iTunes store will play on a creative player (these are DRM free tracks). The DRM ones require an iPod to play.

True, but even the "plus" tracks will not play on the linked player.

    Thanks for that lads.
Yes think i'll just bite the bullet and go for an iPod Nano 8gb. They look pretty good.
Anyone recommend where I could buy one online? Komplett have it for €160 but the delivery charges are another €12.

Unless you want to buy off ebay or from the states that price is pretty good... maybe have a look in O2 shops or Tesco too as they occasionally have good offers on ipods...

One thing I will say about Komplett, they do not handle returns well (at least not in my experience) so I wont be buying from them again.

I just went straight to the manufacturer when I needed to return something I bought off Komplett. (It was a faulty power supply that came with my Maxtor external HDD)

Ya don't like buying electronics of Ebay. The €160 on Komplett isn't to bad I guess.
Don't suppose anyone can recommend the iPod nano?

Do you mean recommend where to buy it or recommend it as a player? If you mean the latter then that will spark off the usual posturing on who is and who isn't a fanboy of one thing or the other... but overall you can take it it will do a good job. If you mean the former, then don't forget that the Apple store itself offers free shipping so the 189 price for the 8Gb Nano is the all in price ...

Well in your defence you were half right... Creative's new player do support AAC, just not any DRM'd shtuff... so something like the uber cheap Creative ZEN would work (unless using DRM'd itunes tracks)

I meant people opinions on the player.
It's ok now anyway, I ordered it of Komplett last night.
