I don't have them, I'm looking for them.

Would anyone care to venture an estimate to the number of people who, in the last year, have bought pokertracker/pahud/holdem manager/poker office, and how many peops use the likes of shark scope?

My guess for PT, taken from thin air just now, is 1500.

Well theres 30k people on ipoker now at the moment, im sure at least 1/2 of them are TAGs??? and the majority of them would have purchased one of them stats programs. then again maybe that includes play money but considering this is 1 day on 1 site im sure its alot more substancial than 1500

Finding out how many members 2+2 have and how many members the likes of card runners etc have might help in guessing.

I'd believe 1,500 Poker Tracker purchases in the past year is underestimated and unrepresentative.

There were 31,000 registered members when the old PT Forum was retired recently.

There are some 120,000 currently registered members of 2+2, for example, just one forum where Poker Tracker references are ubiquitous.

Any sales figure for the past 12 months would be wildly misleading, anyway, because that includes all the months players have been awaiting the end of PT3 beta testing, and the inclusion of the new PAHUD, and a period of test driving and comparisons vs its two principal competitors.

Further, whatever pricing might develop, I'd doubt the very hard-pressed development team would be satisfied with an anticipation of annual sales of only 1,500 units. And, after the new model is fundamentally de-bugged, most players will renew their relationship with a product with which they are already familiar -- regardless of any minor improvements the competition might offer.

I'd say even that is a fraction of the amount. I'm really surprised at the OP's estimate of 1500.

Cardrunners website about page says they have over 9000 members. I'd bet most of them use some kind of tracking software.

My 1500 estimate is probably a little low alright.
Do all members have to pay to sign up with Cardrunners? If they have 9k paying members then that is pretty huge. I'd say well under 10% of paid poker software owners are cardrunner members.

Beta 7 got released a few days ago. They originally said it would include the HUD but it didn't have it, not included to the full release which shall be some time this month according to the 2+2 thread. Although at 1 point they said they wanted it released by January so I wouldn't hold my breath.
