When does the Dental School do teaching treatments?

Well one of my teeth appears to be falling apart and I'm broke. Word on the street is the Dental School does work for cheap by letting supervised students perform the work. Anyone know the times they do these sessions? The website doesn't say.

    My tooth hurts.

Ring up, I think there's a minimum 6 month waiting list.

Ring up and ask to see a student Dental Hygienist. Once they see you, and you have something bad, they can either treat it, or refer you on. You can get them regular enough, once you're not an OAP (apparently they get enough of them!)

Well, it might be shorted than that, I waited about 3 months. They do do emergency stuff as well, but there first reaction is "why are you not going to your own dentist"

A tooth ache is not emergency stuff, a sporting accident or car accident is...

Is it much cheaper than a regular dentist?

It's hard to get in if you don't know anyone in third, fourth, fifth years, the standard of work is very good, and it is cheaper than a dentist.

Well, I'm a 2nd year dental science student right now. Most of my classmates are occupied with their own patients but you might get lucky if some of them still have room left to book you in (We only have 5 clinical sessions left until the end of the year).

You still have to come in to get assessed by 5th/ 4th years before they can put you onto the waiting list from which all students request new patients.

    Good luck!
