I was just trying to install ProTools and got this message:

Not enough RAM. ProTools requires a minimum of 384mb of total system RAM. This machine has only 489904KB or RAM.

Is there any way I can show this setup program that 489902KB = 489MB?

Hmm, there doesn't seem to be much about it on their site, only this unhelpful tidbit:

Maybe the error is just badly phrased / wrong / confused and it requires 384MB to be fully available... ending some background tasks might free up enough, but maybe not.
If all else fails you could throw in another stick of 512... RAM is dirt cheap these days anyway.
