Flash PHP XML ???

I have created a flash quiz that gives a score at the end. I want to pass this score from flash to PHP and then into an SQL database. does anyone have any suggestions about how to go about this? Did I need to get flash to create an xml with the score then PHP to read that? Any help would be great :)
