Hey guys this is further to my recent thread on "Who pays when invited to interview" last week. It turns out they are going to reimburse me for travel expense so thats good.

Ok well the interview is next monday in London a and i have been sent an email saying I will be there for two hours  I have been asked to prepare and present a five minute presentation with visual aids on "Why I want to become an engineer and what Company X can do to help me achieve this".

I could really do with some advise. I am ok with presentations and the comptency based questions but i am bit stuck on this.

    Any help?

Visual aids = most likely Powerpoint.

2-3 slides will be enough. Email it to your hotmail/gmail, bring it with you on a USB key and print a few colour copies to hand as well. Keep it simple, use bullet points and for the love of Jesus don't include any WordArt or 'wacky' graphics. If you have Office 2007, make sure that it looks OK in Office 2003 as well, just in case your software is more up to date than the company's. Or just give the grad recruiter a call and confirm that a few slides is what they want.

    Slide 1- Cover/Title Page
Slide 2- Why you want to be an engineer? Make 3 points.
Slide 3- What company X can do to help you achieve your goal. Make sure the answers here relate to your points on Slide 2. Start by reading the website, call or email anyone you know at the company or have met at recruitment presentations etc.

    Good luck.
