Heading down to cork on saturday night for the cork monaghan game.
is there any public transport that serves pairc ui rinn from cork city centre?
alternatively, who much would a taxi be to the ground from the main bus station??
And to finish...Any decent locals near the ground?:)

No. 2 get off in Ballintemple (ask driver) and walk up hill to Pairc Ui Rinn, walk down hill and you go to Pairc Ui Chaoimh, so don't get mixed up when asking the locals.

No. 10 get off by The Silver Key and walk up and then down hill, passing Cork Cons ground (rugby).(Its all about hills in Cork!)
Taxi from bus station should cost no more than a €10 and if you choose to walk it should take no more than 30 mins. (Its only a mile or two from town)

As for locals the Silver Key is probably the nearest. Enjoy your stay except for the result of course.:)

Never been to Pairc Ui Rinn or area around it.

Heading down Sunday morning from Dublin by 10am train for Cork vs Dublin 2pm at Pairc Ui Rinn.

Might get a taxi from train station to the Silver Key pub for quick lunch and then match.

What is the situation after games re buses or taxis? Is it walkable to the train station when match ends at 3.30pm and my train is 4.20pm?

Wouldnt walk to the train station from it but it shouldnt be too bad in a taxi from the ground really. Cant say i've ever noticed taxis or buses around after the game though

If you walk very fast its probably doable, but you'll be half ****ed after.

Boy, if this doesn't set a record for the oldest zombie thread, I don't know what does !

What is the deal with tickets into Pairc Ui Rinn...do you just buy a general admission ticket and you decide where to go once you are inside the ground? Or do you have to decide in advance if you want terrace or stand, as there is no switching between the two?

My jaysis I just noticed that .. I'm gonna close the coffin lid on this one, and will open a thread for the 2015 NFL/NHL season where the locals can give the lowdown on their ground/parking/ticketing etc. .. it's not often I've a bright idea :D
