Kooks live sound mix on Tubridy TV show

I felt sorry for the Kooks on Saturday night on Tubridy.
Unless my TV was acting up the sound mix was way off and
the lead guitar drowned out the vocals/bass and all but the
cymbals of the percussion. I wonder if they arrived late and
didn't manage a proper soundcheck or if there was some other
problem. I haven't heard such a bad sound mix on a TV show
in ages. Certainly the Camembert guys get a decent mix and
they are always very tight when it comes to live performances.
Was just a pity that the Kooks came out so raw and poorly
    mixed.

I actually thought it was the singers fault! the sound for the rest of the show was fine anyway. he seemed a little incoherant
