    Hello all.

I’m living in Brussels Belgium and I have a sky digibox that I bought on ebay from England.

I would like to get a subscription to Sky Ireland to have RTE, TG4 etc… what’s the best way to approach this tricky matter with SKY?

Parents are living in Dublin, but don’t have a dish/ digibox… could I simply phone SKY and ask them to send me out a Sky Card in the post? Obviously want to avoid an installer coming out .

Any advice – experience in such matters greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

I'm just up the road from you in The Hague.

I have a box and i'm buying a dish, afaik you just ring Sky and say you already have the required box + dish setup. Make sure you block your caller ID and use an Irish address. They'll ask you for the serial number on the box also to pair it. If they say you need to pair over a phoneline you can say that you have a voip number.

You'll probably need to update the firmware on the box, you can google for instructions on that.

You'll also need to pay via an Irish Credit card or Bank account, online banking in the Netherlands anyway its simple to transfer money to my Irish CC.

You can try using Blueface www.blueface.ie to get a +35376 number.

Actually i have this service and its great, have a dutch, irish and uk number all on one phone in my apartment :D

Theres some companys offering this service in the Netherlands, but they only do UK sky and charge a stupid admin fee of between 100 - 200 euros per year.

Then you just have the fun of trying to setup the dish (recommend you drink some beer)
