Short Stacks - a solution?

Its hard to get a table now without 1/2 shortstacks sitting in. There is one guy on ipoker (GJP) who constantly sits down with 120 (600 game) and anytime he wins, he leaves and comes back two mins later with 120 again. I thought you had to come back with same amount, but not so it seems. Can be very annoying and tilt inducing.

Would it be possible for sites to have one/two tables at each level where players have to sit down with the max and have to reload to the max. I'm sure this was probably brought up before, but just wondering why the sites don't do it?

There are sites that have "deep" tables where you can only buy in for the max. Can't remember which, only playing on Prima atm and they don't have it there.

If people want to use different tactics why shouldn't they be allowed too!
Online poker is getting ridiculously boring with everyone playing almost the same tactic.

there are already tables on i-poker that are full stack only... at least there si on 200nl not sure about 600nl...

you will always ahve a few shorties causing you grief......

In general there are 2 types of shortie... the bad ones and the not so bad ones (can't bring myself to say good)... the bad ones will limp and fold to a raise or limp call and fold a lot of flops and are typically value on the table... then there's the latter type have stats something like 12/10 and are also easy enough to play.... they have a defined range of hands and generally fold everything else making blind stealing nearly a guarantee every round and if they push you know what they have so are easy enough to play against...

I have 2 ambitions in life though...

    1) to suck out on a shortie....
    2) to suck out on a shortie.......

Where did I say it shouldn't be allowed. All I said was it would be nice to have one or two tables (out of a lot) where it would be max only.

I love the ones that forget for a second that they've doubled up. Like at 1/2 you raise to 7 on the button and next thing the "shortie" on the sb who has just doubled up shoves for 160,takes down your 7 and then leaves table. Im sure he has a moment of panic when he realises he shoved 80bbs with 66 instead of the customary 40 or less

    ?

Min risk for max gain. I don't see the problem with it.

how do you have max gain ?
if you make the nuts you cant even win a full stack -i would call that min gain
its for people who dont want decision on 3 streets
and its ruins the games as the regs all tighten up their opening range

On the contrary, it's for people who can actually play poker and can fcuck with peoples' heads enough for them to give huge value for a minimum outlay over a prolonged session.
The point is, if you make the nuts you are doubling, or even tripling, your stack. The game doesn't end there does it?
