    Hey,

Quick question. I dropped my Nokia 5700 Xpress Music tonight in the lashing rain. The batter, phone and sim seperated and spread out over the ground. Took a while to find it, and I drived it with a cloth and put it back together. It starts up okay but after a while the phone goes a little funny. The backlight starts flashing rapidly, the keypad stops working, the camera turns itself on, the menu to shut down appears (and selects turn off) and it restarts.

All data is on the phone still.

Any suggestions, or is it time for a visit to the Nokia shop? Its always been a dodgy piece of ****e, but iv never had time to bring it back and get fixed after my first replacement! Charging my old nokia which has been dead, hope to have it working by the morning as I need the phone badly.

Your phone has been dropped, opened and exposed to the rain. I would backup any data that you can and start looking for a new phone.

Your phone may work for a few days or even weeks, but will die eventually from the damage sustained due to the water.

Typical :p I suppose it had to happen sooner or later. Its a good enough phone, but getting a bit tiring with all the bugs.

I might slap it into a hot press and see if it drys out the mosture. Iv seen people drop it down toilets and get away with it :p

    Thanks random :)

Currently drying it out, had it beside the window with the sun belting in. I can see the moisture now more cleary under the screen. I took out the battery as it keeps turning itself on and making funny noises.

Ill give it a few a days before buying a new one. Yes, I am being lazy even though I need a new one!
