UCD + DCU Student Champs' Registrations Tomorrow (Monday 31st March)

Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know that Derek will be in DCU tomorrow evening between 6:30pm and 7:00pm to take registrations from players for the Student Champs next Saturday. Ray has kindly invited us up to promote the event so I just want to say a big thanks there.

I will be in UCD myself around the same time....However, because UCD poker soc seems to be a bit all over the place (as always tbh) I need to find someone that will meet me there and help me to get a few people together in the same place at the same time.....

Basically I have a few emails from a number of UCD students but no'one that is actually the appointed authority, can anyone help me here please???

Any help will be greatly appreciated and if you want us to call out to your college this week just let me know here.

The student champs is only 6 days away and we think that it is going to be a great little tournament, we just really want to get the €26,000 prize-pool as that is the really value for the €65 buy-in.

The problem with UCD is, afaik, we simply don't have a pokersoc. I know I haven't played a hand in there this year, last year we'd a weekly game. I think there was a cash game running but not sure if it still does, on a thursday? I could meet you tomorrow Stephen (And pay up my reg) if you come in, but beyond the lads who post on here and one friend of mine who still hasn't committed to playing or not as he's broke, I'd have no idea who to get you in touch with or where to go to find people who could be interested. There's just no longer a weekly game where people would congregate.

Yeah, I don't think that there is a PokerSoc this year, hence no one is in charge of poker related activities. I was actually just browsing the UCD forum there and there's a guy trying to get a few games going, so maybe get in contact with him?

get in touch with Stephen Quinlavan he is pro poker and is the ents officer. He is trying to orgainse a game later in the year so coul dbe a useful link.

I will get in touch with that man but a good few UCD heads have contacted me by email.

We are going to meet at 7pm at the students bar (the one near the engineering building).....

I will be there at 7pm sharp so if you want to pay your buy-in be there for 6:50pm please.....I will be the only person in there wearing a suit.

Ive a rugby match ont he superbowl at 7:30 so wont be able to make it for that time, but if you fancy some light hearted entertainment and money after come down and watch us beat trinners.

As far as I know I will be in IT Tallaght tomorrow evening at some stage....Just have to confirm a time with the poker soc but will probably be about 8:30pm/9:00pm.
