Anyone else find this really slow ?

Ive ordered a book , its about a week on "Picking & packing" stage ....

with play.com and amazon its usually posted within 24 hours of ordering ...

the wait should be the post itself, not for them to post it !

I've only ordered from them once, but it arrived in a week.

I've ordered a couple of times and found them relatively quick, usually within the week.

OK .. well it still says on their site picking & packing, but it arrived today .. so
    must be an internal thing...

I ordered a book from them a good while ago. Received it pretty quickly but still has 'order in process' on their website!!!

Overall I find them very good tho, great selection and all the quoted prices include delivery

Incredible selection- including stuff which is long out of print (esp. scifi and fiction stuff, which is long-gone elsewhere). I've used them a lot, and would have hesitation in recommending them. My other source of online books, which does take ages, but can be wonderful is alibris (they sell used library books and other books- lots of them are old secondhand books- but they have a brilliant search directory on their website). If you order lots of books they get sent to a central location for shipping together- which works out very reasonable, but takes months sometimes.
