Looks like everything is sorted now, no strike.
The ambulance strike scheduled for 7 April has been called off.

Unions representing the country's 1,200 paramedics and the HSE Employers Agency came to an agreement late last night.

The deal will see an additional 180 paramedics begin training this year.

The parties also came to agreement on the HSE using private services.

The precise terms of the deal will be released over the weekend.

I doubt they'll get all 180 people trained this year, (+upskilling). According to other sources the overtime is sorted aswell - first will be offered to HSE, then agency staff then privates. Also I believe privates will only get certain types of work and a certain amount of it.

They won't get 180 people trained this year considering it's now a 2year course to become a paramedic. What will happen is that 180 trainee's/student's will be taken on.
