Heard great things about Yamahas and played an FX a while ago and really liked it. However, the Epiphone EJ-160E VC has caught my eye, the John Lennon one. Any thoughts? Looking for a mellow sprightly sound, a real jangle would be preferable but also something that'll make those artificial harmonics shine like a bell tone.

The best I've tried at that price range are the epi masterbilts. There are great guitar overall.
