Anyone know how to change the time settings on UPC DVR box as it didn't update automatically?

    Thanks

Did you try a reboot? Seems to solve every other problem :)

A reboot didn't work for me.

The whole DVR seems to be running on GMT as the EPG is displaying show times 1 hour early, i.e. in GMT instead of BST.

A hard reboot (unplug it and plug it in again) cures it very briefly after you first turn it on, but as soon as the EPG information loads it goes back to GMT again. FWIW I seem to remember my old Pace box did the same, and I suspect it's something at UPC's end rather than a fault with the box itself.

Clock seems to be fixed now.

But check your TV agenda if you've anything set to record! I've been recording TV3 at 10pm every week (the story of the CAB - really good btw!). But the DVR says it's scheduled to start recording at 11pm tomorrow even though the EPG (correctly) has my show starting at 10pm :eek

That's odd .. my wife put in a recording on Saturday for a show on BBC 1 at 8pm and it worked just fine.

The recording I'm talking about is one I set up a while ago and set to record weekly. It didn't adjust it this week. I didn't correct it so I'll check again this evening.

I didn't think it was possible to do a series link with the dvr box?

    Possible?

No, only to a scheduled recording at the same time every day/week.

Don't understand you? Do you mean that I can record a programme if its on at the same time every week?? I'm confused as the guide only shows the schedule for 7 days ahead?

It's not a series link in the true sense in that it won't adjust to follow the series if the time of the show changes rather it will just record the same channel at the same time every week

Just to clarify for Tonc. There is no series link on UPC DVR. An update has been promised by UPC to provide this but going by their past record it might be 2015 by the time they have it.

What is possible, and what Rosser is talking about is Advanced Memos.
Select Menu, then Digital Video Recorder and then select 'Set Advanced Memo'. There you can manually schedule recordings rather than recording through EPG. There is a recurrence option which can be set to Once,Daily Weekly or Mon To Fri.

So in theory it can work as a series link but in reality it isn't. It is linked to time rather than series you want to record, so if next edition is scheduled to a different time or is rescheduled by broadcaster then it will not be recorded.

The sooner the series link comes the better.

    Hope this helps.

Very same for me. I set up a record memo for a programme everyday at 5. It's been recording at 6 since the clock change. I've had to delete the memo and set it up again. Ops!
