Hi. My husband is interested in tickets for the Leinster v Munster match at RDS April 12- he looked on ticketmaster and could only see something about having to buy tickets for two matches? What's the go? Does he need to look further on the site? Are tickets still available for just this match?

    Thanks

Eh, its not an away match. Its being played on either the 2nd/3rd/4th of May in RDS. Its an away match of course if you're buying from the other teams allotment, but hey, tough luck.

Not really, Munsters allocation was distributed by the Munster Branch, this sale is geared towards Leinster supporters. Anyway the packaging of 2 games like this is sytem employed by all the Provinces, including Munster.

So the package being the Leinster v Munster game on April 12 and the game on the first weekend in May? So whats the deal with turning up outside the ground hoping to pay at the gate? Are these games in the RDS always a sell out?

No, though I imagine the Munster one will be. You can't pay at the gate to my knowledge, but there are ticketmaster vans floating about the place on match day. I imagine similar restrictions on having to buy the two-match packages apply buying from them though.

The Munster one is guaranteed to be a sell out.

Buy the twin tickets, enjoy the Munster game, and come along for a Dragons game.

There's a really good family atmosphere at the RDS games.

Could even see Leinster clinching the title against the Dragons :D (actually beginning to get my hopes up again!)

If you're a Munster supporter then you'd already have been offered a ticket, and Munster wouldn't have had to put the remainder of their unsold allocation on general sale (where you, as a Musnter supporter, could also have purchased one). I agree, it sucks for the causual supporter, but then this is a high-demand event and if you were serious, you'd have a ticket secure by now.

You can safely forget paying at the gate. You might find someone floating with a spare before the game (if you're stuck), especially in the Horse Show Inn across the road. That, or a tout! RDS games generally sell out for HC games, but not for ML ones (bar a few high-profile games).

This game is sold out according to Leinster site, anybody know anywhere where tickets are going?
    cheers

Very, VERY thankful I managed to nab mine last night. They were off the site for a while previously and thought they were all gone.

18,500 for a magners match is gonna be fun.

I just went up to the Leinster shop in Donnybrook as there were a few for sale at 1.00. I couldn't believe the bloke in front of me asked for ten and got them all. Then a woman (sounded like a cork accent) ask for 8 and got all 8.

I reckon there were about 200 - 300 tickets for sale there.

Neither seemed like touts but I don't think it's fair to a fan who turns up 20 minutes later just looking for one or two.
