I've been checking price plans trying to find the cheapest that will give me a "phone a friend for free" option, cheapest I can find requires €20 a month top up, are there any cheaper?

Will any network allow me to nominate a Dublin landline number for my "phone a friend or free" calls?

I'm fed up paying sky high phone charges and want to either access the 13434 dial through number or else set up a GSM gateway on my home broadband connection.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not quiet the same thing but im with 3 (€19 a month price plan) and I've a option called 3 for free where I pay €3 a month and I can talk to any 3 customer as long as I want for, so Could spend the whole month on the phone to any 3 customer and still only pay the once monthly cost.

    Very handy

And on upper 3 price plans its included free as far as I know.

Though you mention landline and that is different, I don't know too much about the other networks other than that Vodafone offer a call a friend for free, though I believe its only 100mins a month to them but I could be wrong.

Cheers 1huge1, I've been digging around a bit more since I first posted and found that 3 add-on on their website. I'm not sure as the website doesn't seem to explain very well but I think you could buy this add-on on 3Pay and have no other call charges for the month. Now that 3 are selling sims, it looks like I could just buy another sim for the gateway and then dial through on VoIPstunt.

Alternatively I could get 2 Tescomobile Sims and they do a free calls and texts bundle to other tesco mobiles for €11.99 a month. Looking at Tesco's pricing their call costs are very competitive too.

Just called 3 customer care (lol) and the talk for free add on is not avalable on 3pay so it looks like Tescos is the cheapest option...

Oh sorry about that, when I seen you mention price plans I assumed you meant bill pay. Should of noticed the topping up of €20 a month.
