    Hello, :)
I was wondering if, when building a new property in the Ballinlough area of Co. Roscommon, there is a minimum meterage for road frontage? We have the opportunity of purchasing a plot of land (approx) 1/2 acre, but the road frontage is only 60' and there is no access gate at the moment. Many thanks in advance for your advice.

One option could be to get in contact with your local authority and speak with and engineer or planner. Often they could just give you advise over the phone. Its worth trying.

Yes that is always recommended. You can also look for a pre planning meeting.

Take a look at their County Development Plan. I dont know if it has been updated yet or not as it goes back to 2002 but I had a quick look at it and Appendix 1 and schedule 23 seem the most important part to you. I dont see any reference to a minimum frontage but the site has to be a min. 0.2 Ha. in area.
