I 've been working in an office with air conditioning for the past year and a half and in that time I have been on antibiotics (for throat and chest) three times and seem to suffer a lot more frequently with sore throats than before. My asthma is also worse than it has ever been. Prior to moving into the AC 'd office, I hadnt been on antibiotics for years....

Im sure this is an issue for a lot of people. Is there anything I can do to minimise the effect of the AC?

I can't believe I found someone like me.
I too have similiar issues with the A/C in work. I'm just back after been out sick for a month due to chest infection and an ear infection.

It got so bad that I had complained to the Health & Safety people who sent in a specialist who took Air readings, of course everything came back as "normal"

But I have moved to another office in a different building, the A/C works "better" but It has not stopped my been sick.
Currently waiting on an appointment to see a specialist.

If your company has a health & safety department, raise it with tem via your manager, maybe they will be more open to you.

I feel your pain, mine is a struggle everyday, I turn off the A/C and someone else turns it back on.

    There's no winning

Well its not an option for me to turn off the AC, its an open plan office.... I want to know how to manage it... Dont know if something like garlic tablets will work... Stuff like that.
