Help me butcher my old Jackson

    Today I decided to take the old second hand Japanese Jackson Professional thats been hanging up on my wall for the past seven years and try and make something out of it.
    The reason it was relegated to wall duty was largely down to the fact that it needed a new Floyd Rose & a decent setup. That, and the fact that its crap anyway (at least I've never had it sounding good but I've also never had it set up properly as I played it mainly in my early teens)

    The Floyd Rose definatly has to be replaced. At the minute its riddled with home made parts and threads are gone etc.
    Ideally I would like to switch the Floyd Rose for a fixed bridge but have no idea how to do that without leaving the big gaping void where the floyd used to be.
    I'd also like to replace the nut as it is a locking nut at the minute and its not so smooth anymore since I let one my mates near it wirh a file back in the day in an attempt to 'fix' the buzz on my D string. Again, I'd like to replace it with a standard nut but there would be a bit of a gap there seeing as the locking nut is so big.

    The pickups are 1 seymore duncan HB and 2 Jackson SC. I assume these are stock but it is 2nd hand so not sure about the Duncan. Can anyone reccomend alternative pickups? (all my other guitars are stock, not big up on my pickup knowlege)

    Also, if anyone can think of any other interesting things that I could do let me know. It's probably not worth ****e at this stage so I'm not to worried about trying anything out of the ordinary on it.

    a few suggestions.......

    1. get a few push pulls and do some wiring tricks,
    2. get heavy guage strings and tune it way down,
    3. tune it to some interesting open tuning
    4. you can also lock off the floyd if you want,
    5. install a kaoss pad
    6. spray it canary yellow and remember the good times!

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
    I've never seen one of these before, looks amazing!!!!!!
    Definitely going to get one.

    Still have my Floyd Rose problem though. I dont want to fix the existing one because its knackered, plus, using an allen key to change strings drives me mental
