which is the better scanner ICOM IC R5 or bearcat 3500xlt???

maplin have the R5 in stock for 280 euro.

was considering that option , found some good reviews of it on the web..

does anyone here have one? would you recommend?

General use the R5 probably better. Some uses (WX satellite) maybe the Bearcat!
