    Hi folks

Can anyone give the usual deifnition of a residents committee. Is it just owner occupiers? Or is there normally tenants/landlords etc involved???

There is no legal definition, so it will vary from building to building / estate to estate.

You will have two distinct forms (a) run in parallel to the management company and following it very closely (b) open to all residents. Most are informal "groups of friends" with no legal basis, while others will be companies.

The level of busy-bodyness is probably dependent on the ratio of owner occupiers.
