My order failed to go through for my Pod X3 so I'm seeing that as a sign to
    go with individual pedals.

I need a nice overdrive, a couple decent delay pedals (that can do quarter notes and dotted 8ths) maybe a chorus. Maybe a Tubescreamer, and a Boss DD-20 any chance I can find them in a Galway music shop?

    Urgently

Well Galway officially sux for shopping especially for guitar stuff.

I'll have to make do with the effects on my pod 2 for this weekend.

Soonish I'll have a BlackHeart Little Giant, Xotic BB plus, Electroharmonix Small Clone and a Boss DD-20 to go with my Boss Tremelo and Morley Wah/Volume pedals.

Should be the start of a sweet set up and an empty bank account. Gotta start selling some kit now!

Matt Kid I bought a Pod X3 live yesterday and gigged it last night and it ROCKED . Do not repeat do not waste your money on individual pedals. This thing is a beast. Do what it takes but get the Pod X3 Live and want for nothing in that line again.

Do not repeat do not waste your money on individual pedals..

I think you'll find the vast majority of touring bands are at odds with that opinion just look here for proof

...the pod works for your needs, happy days
but to imply ALL individual pedals are a waste is frankly wrong!
use what ever your ears tell you sounds good and whatever your wallet can bare

there's amazing individual pedals out there, thousands upon thousands of them
likewise there is thousands of ****e ones
I could say the exact same thing about multi-effects

FY lads, recently came across a newly opened website and shop in Ireland, doing really cool pedals. Got myself a wooly mammoth for my Bass rig, and happy as a pig in the proverbial.

    www.purepedals.com

If you are looking for some real nice sounds, they have a very good selection.

I have never used, nor do I know anything about pedals. However, I'm considering trying out one of these. They seem well made and at a reasonable price.

That isn't a bad selection for Ireland at all

The place was still setting upwhen I was there, looks like a new show room.
also the website may not list everything that they have.
If you are near Tallaght/ Lucan, would recommend a visit.
I had to call first though as Dave the guy who runs this seems to also travel a bit.
