    Na Season 3 was fantastic.

I was thinking of putting up a topic but there is not much traffic here, but yesterday was 1 year since the last episode in season 3 aired. What a horrible wait. But its now a little over 7 days left till the first episode and there is some BSG thing on tonight as well.

going to read that article now

EDIT: Shorter than i thought but thinking about it i wonder, since the season is split in two is there any chance that Sky or Canada will get the 2nd 1/w before the states? It used to happen with SG1 & SGA and i think RTE overtook for 1/2 a season of friends back in the day. So it does happen from time to time, You never know. Waiting a year has almost killed me i mean i cant count how many times i have watched the series through since last year

I can....0.35 approximately. Season 3 is weak in comparisson to miniseries, 1 and 2 IMO. That's not to say that it's not still good. It just pales in comparisson to what went before it IMO.

Still looking forward to Season 4 despite the horrific wait.

There were a few filler eps in season 3 imo. I still enjoyed them but i'm not sure i'd like to rewatch them anytime soon.

I have my doubts as to whether season 4 will be good.
I dont like the direction the show took in the latter half of season 3 with the final 5 malarky and the revelation of four new cylon models.
The whole idea of these four characters being cylons is flawed, illogical and it seems the writers are now resorting to 'Lost' style writing as in making it up as they go along.
I think the show has run out of ideas but hopefully I am wrong and it will prove me wrong.

What do you mean by flawed? based on the fact that Saul has aged?
I wouldnt not conisder it to be lost style but what about the 4 do you think is illogical?

The writers freely admit that they only decided to make these 4 characters cylons near the latter half of season 3.
They then checked back through the earlier episodes to see if this idea could fit.
It smacks of poor writing as it has alot of flaws.

Things like that happen all the time in televsion shows, characters get changed for any amount of reasons, it's hardly "poor writing".

Leaving aside that you've said twice that this has introduced alot of flaws, i can't see any myself so what flaws do you think it's left?

Wasn't it just? What did you love the most? The love triangle or the love quadrangle? The moral sermons that taught us all right from wrong? R&R time with the crew? I was hoping for a Final 5 Love Pentagon, but you've got to keep some goodness for Season 4.

Well i liked the love triangle but it should have ended two episodes earlier. In general its the story arc i love. I was a big fan of the mid season episode on the algie planet. All the episodes where very good, Exodus part II where Tigh/Ellen *sigh*.....
The only one i would not watch too much is the episode "Hero". although it had good backstory and was a very important episode for Tigh i would still hold back on repeating that episode too many times because its the weakest in what was an amazing season.

Anything with Tigh is worth watching. Season 3 on a whole was weaker then the previous seasons, but thats because they had more single story episodes then before. Moore has stated that this was a mistake, and that it will be rectified in season 4.

I'm going to love season 4, but if they pull a Pegasus..
Adama: You can quote me whatever regulation you want. I'm getting my men!)
Cain: You are making such a mistake...
    Adama:I'm getting me men.
Then a six month wait.

    A six month wait?

I joined the BSG bandwagon late. It was DVD all the way for me. I just popped the next disc in. Was a long few mins while it booted up though...

Absolutely brilliant cliff hanger. Probably because they made her character so believeable. The waits have been excruciating though. Thank the gods we're nearly there.
