Changing an App's Icon in the Taskbar

    Hi all,

    Just a quick question.. I want to change my Icon for Mozilla Firefox on the taskbar to an IE icon or something else but not sure how to do this.. and if its possible??

    Any ideas?

    Firefox aint allowed here.... :eek: and its obvious for others to see its running when its in the taskbar

    Right click on the Firefox shortcut and select properties. In the shortcut tab you'll see an option button to change icon. A window will open up with available icons.

    Edit: I just looked at the attachment. My post only works for shortcuts.

    Do as kaizeroze says but under where it says "Look for icons in this file" paste in:
    C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
    You'll then be able to choose the Internet Explorer icon.
    However you should note that this will only change the icon on the desktop and/or the quick launch bar; it will still appear as the Firefox icon on the taskbar when it's open. If you want to fully change it you can download an icon pack from mozdev:

    You could always use minimize to tray extension and set that to be always hidden.

    ok just one more thing.. Ive also got mozilla now looking like IE but on the top, the very top.. it says "Mozilla Firefox".. I want to remove this and put something else in like "Internet Explorer"

    Ive looked through the registry and replaced anything with "Mozilla Firefox" with IE but still no luck..

    any ideas?
