I'm looking to get a better photo editor. Preferably free and for download.
    Any ideas/ suggestions?
    currently using "Arcsoft photstudio 5.5"

The best is Photoshop CS3 but its also very expensive.
A good free alternative is the GIMP which is almost as feature packed.
After that you're looking at software like Paint.net.

If trying out the gimp (gimp.org) you might want to investigate meetthegimp.org for free video tutorials on techniques etc...

    Cheers.
