I'm rewriting this to make things clearer.

You will not get legally informed opinion here. We as moderators cannot tell if a user giving you an answer is a respected legal professional or some 16 year old kid pulling the piss. Neither are we as moderators legal professionals ourselves so we cannot tell whether something is legally informed opinion or not most of the time. Answers you get on this forum shouldn't be given any more weight that an answer you'd get from a friend down the pub who has been in the same situation as you are.

If you want a legal opinion talk to a legal professional. If you want to get an opinion informed by experience or similar, this is a good place to ask a question.

People who purport to offer legal advice on this forum and phrase it as such will not be tolerated. Explaining what someone's rights are to them or telling them that they should speak to a solicitor about it are fine, telling them they've a case for taking legal action against someone isn't. As with the Work/Jobs forum, we will endeavour to intervene only when absolutely necessary so we would appreciate that people respected this simple rule.

    Just to add to this:

Asking what the laws are, what your rights are etc is fine.

Asking should you sue, do you have a case etc isn't.
