Mod Edit - This thread is for people who are watching it on TV3 (so they can avoid the spoilers in the newly renamed USA thread)

For those who have watched it when it aired on Fox (or those who are watching on Virgin One, which is a few episodes ahead), please refrain from talking about things in future episodes.

If you have seen them all and want to praise/vent, then please use the USA Thread. Thanks.

    Is this worth watching?

Cant say I am big into Sci Fi, but I have seen the first episode and thought it was ok, small girl as a Terminator put me of a bit, as did the actor who plays John Connor ( he was a tough little prick in the second film)...

    The pilot episode was crap.

It gets more watchable and interesting from then on though.

Agreed. There is great potential in the show and it would be a great shame if fox fails to renew it for a 2nd season. Also Summer Glau has done herself justice as a Terminator. She puts KL to shame.

I'm watching it on TV3, so I'm only three episodes in so far. Based purely on the first episode, I was kinda disappointed. But two episodes later and I think the show has made a definite improvement. Its not mind blowing, but theres certainly potential there.

I never thought I'd be able to get used to anyone else besides Linda Hamilton playing Sarah Connor (cause she was just SO good in both films), but Lena Headey aint too bad, once she settled into the role a little. Its tricky to balance the hard-ass soldier with the softer "mother" moments, but I've a feeling she'll be able to pull it off.

I thought that Summer Glau was perfectly cast as the terminator (even if it does make her a little bit typecast now). She has such a wonderful childlike innocence and vulnerability to her, but at the same time is deceptively physical and athletic. For me, shes got the role covered.

And Thomas Dekker, who I had immediately written off as "typical rebellious youth" isnt as bad as I first thought as John.

The effects are decent (the robot terminators being kinda reminiscent of the Cylons from BSG!). Its WAY more violent than I expected (which can only be a good thing :p). I cant really complain about all the plot holes, cause at this stage I don't think its possible to continue the Terminator franchise without bending some of the previously established rules (time travel in general is a bitch where continuity is concerned!). So I'm just gonna ignore the plot holes and enjoy the ride :D

For me, the first two Terminator movies cannot be touched, but it will be interesting to see where they take this show (if it gets renewed for a second season, that is ).

Takes a little while to get into it. For me anyway took a bit to get used to SG as the terminator.
