Hay folks....I am bringing a group of 12 male golfers from the States and will be spending 4 nights at Mt. Falcon in Ballina in late July. I would like to bring them into town for a couple of nights and looking for some good pub recommendations as well as a few restaurants. These guys aren' t the nightclub type so some good trad, juicy pints, and great craic is right up their alley. Any help is appreciated.

    -Mike

If they are looking to score a "hole in one" take them to longnecks :D:D

The Ice House has quite nice food and sports a decent vegetarian menu to boot.. For music there's little chance of any trad music though there's always Tuesday night Jazz in Duffy's pub which is just down from the cathedral.

Or if youre feeling particluary bored you could check out Longnecks where you can select from the finest females Ballina has to offer, but be warned the pickings can be slim at the best of times.

Thank god for the safe haven that is dublin:rolleyes:

The Bard or Quorum restaurants in town do very nice food, although the restaurant in Mount Falcon is supposed to be very good as well.

Opposite the Ice-House is Crocketts, which is another popular pub/restaurant.
