Just curious if there is enough interest in this?

Would people be interested in a RTS only lan party/tourney.

Was talking about one over on the C&C forum, and I felt that a lan party consisting of a selection of classic/new rts games would be pretty awesome.

Yea I'd be interested. C&C3 and a long auld game of Civilization. WOuld actually really suit Civilization for a day long LAN. Not sure there's that many Civ players boppin' about here though...

But I'd be interested even with other strategy games. Maybe have experienced players training noobs for a bit too.

Aye, sounded my support for one in the C&C3 forum, doing the same here I guess :) I'd be interested in games of Company of Heroes. I haven't played that in ages but would be well up for it :D

So, what's the chances of this actually happenin'?

How many would we want? I reckon it'll be quite small, but I'm happy about that.

Where would we have it? Internet Cafe with pc's there for us? Or somewhere where we'd have to bring our own laptop/pc?

How about setting up a competition amongst yourselves at Midlans or GameCon? On top of that, there's usually a RTS compo in Midlans, so it'd give you a chance to play like that.

Alternatively, if you all have broadband, get Hamachi (at hamachi.cc) to play over a virtual LAN.

How about we organise a date , say like the 20 June and we all use Hamachi for a virtual lan and we play games like C&C3 , Company Of Heroes and Civilisation for 24hrs straight:D
