What type of magic impresses you?

I really like the 'raw' street-magic style of presenting magic and illusion. I greatly dislike the whole 'spectaclular' style of presenting magic. As for the tuxedo, cape, top hat, style of magic...well, does anyone do that anymore? :D

For me, the spectacular showman who builds up the trick with a 'you will be amazed and stupefied by this' approach is boring, I like the tricks to be quick and dirty with little showmanship.

    What about you?

i prefer the 'in your face' style of magic. such as street magic, but then again im a cardician :D

Thats not to say i dont like stage magic, if its the right kind it can be amazing. I saw Lance Burton in vegas few years ago and it was amazing (especially the dove routine) , but some was bit over the top, ie corvette hanging from the roof.

I've all always been partial to tricks that produce flowers and such from fire.
would love to be able to do it.
