Double eagle ump silencer

    right, got my ump in the post this morning. loving it so far!

    before i break it trying, can the flash suppressor be removed to fit a silencer?

    and if so, what type of silencer can be fitted??

    Never managed to get it off myself. But, I think there may be a silencer that'll fit over it.

    I think its an mp5 style quick detach mount, like the flash hider on the pdw model.

    So quick detach HK style silencer I think.

    I think thats a standard threaded one.

    Is the muzzle of your ump threaded?

    I looked in to this for mine and as far as I know only the G&G UMG silencer fits it and thats almost the price of the DE UMP for the silencer alone!! :(

    I see.

    HK in their wisdom went for a new design for the quick detach muzzle for the ump, so only ump silencers fit.

    Yippy.

    No, unfortunately. theres a slight difference between them that makes the G&G silencer compatible only with the G&G UMP.

    i have g&g silencer on my de ump... but saying that i had to get the outside barrell machined down to fit the flash hider that comes with the g&g silencer...wasn't the easiest job!!

    Are you ment to get a flash hider with the g&g silencer?. There was only a silencer in the box that I got. I was wondering why it was a bit of effort to get the silencer on and off the G&G UMP, had to use a bit of oil and a fair amount of force.

    as tony said, the G&G silencer is different to the DE attactment, infact, there isnt actually any attachment on the DE. theres a little collar on it and when you remove that theres no threads like on the G&G.
