Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey all,

    Looking for a few recommendations.

Building my house at the mo, & while I know what I like & don't like when I see it, I've no idea how to put all the elements together to get the look I want.

    I'm hopeless!!!

So, what I want is to buy mags that show lots of pictures of rooms so I can rip out the ones I like & make a scrap bok sort of.

With the bookshelves in the newsagents heaving with all different variations of these magazines, I was wondering if any of ye have experience of them & could recommend some of them to me.

Basically, I want to avoid magazines that show me a few pics of funky chairs, funky toilets, a few pictures etc.
I want picutre of entire classy looking rooms.
I'm not into the very modern minimalist look, more the sophisticated (but not oldfashioned) classy, calm look.

So, anyone any ideas which mags are good?
Even, are there any kitchen, bathroom, furniture brochures that show their products in nicely designed rooms that I could get my hands on?

    Thanks,
    BB

    Hi,

I like most magazines e.g. Munster Interiors, Irish Kitchens & Bathrooms, Irish Interiors and a few of the English ones. The magazine I do not like is House & Home - no real substance to it. The TV programme 'Showhouse' has a good 'annual' out, it features pictures of all the rooms done in the show. It would be a very good starting point and the designs are lovely. Enjoy ! I am at the same stage.
