Hey, I have a samsung 206BW 20in. I hate playing games on it so i went back to my CRT which is a whole lot better for gaming. What I wanted to know is can i hook up my tv to my TFT? At the moment I only have chorus cable. I doubt i can do it with this but can I do it with a sky box? or something along the lines of that.

    Thanks in advance !

You should be able to do it if the sky box has a DVI out! and if the monitor only has a VGI connection you can get a DVI - VGI connector for a few euro!

my sky plus box has a vga out on it. AFAIK the last (non plus)box had one aswell.

yeah thought of that should a said. just looked at the back of the box (again for ye) and there is an optical out and also some phono outs so if you have some speakers you could hook em up to it. although i suspect that the phonos are matched to the svideo connector.

Just so we're clear can you outline the exact arrangement you intend here and there proximity to one another. pc tv skybox and tft wise i mean?

Cheers for looking. I just wanted to go from Skybox straight to the TFT. Also the skybox will be right beside my pc. So it can be reached no problem

i seriously doubt your sky box has a VGA (not vgi) output. that might be an rs232 connector, not vga. that's used for service. to make a sky box or any other item like that work with a vga/dvi monitor you'd need one of these bad boys

this has a tuner for your chorus cable and inputs for sky boxes etc.

for sound, even a cheap pair of active speakers would do the trick with the right connections. or better still, if you had a small hifi with an aux input you could use that
