Executive Officer Order of Merit

    Hi all,

I was fortunate enough to pass Stage II of the EO exam (2005 competition) and was placed on the order of merit.

Looking at some of the more recent threads I am now worried that even though I managed to get to this stage I may never get called either due to a recruitment embargo, or the panel I am on is closed before I get offered a position (a new competition is scheduled for end of April).

Does anyone know what the process is within Public Jobs in relation to panels and their lifespan? Are all those who passed stage II of the EO competition offered a position at some point?

Any advice on this will be welcomed....

    Thanks!

A new panel will be created shortly after people have completed the aptitude test and interview , they will be placed on the 2008 at which stage the previous panel is defunct. The old panel ( 2005 panel has nearly ran for about 2 and half years.

You could ring public appointments and check how many have been assigned from the panel and what place you are on it .
