Minimum resolution for online photo-printing?

Sorry if it's not really the best place to put this but seemed the most apt!

Basically I need to print some photos for my family.. and all of them are on Flickr (the original images in large-res are scattered around a hard drive elsewhere).

But Flickr allows me to save the photos we uploaded at a resolution as high as 1024 * 768.. would this be enough for a decent quality print from one of the online merchants (Snapfish, BonusPrint etc.)?

I reckon so considering the originals were probably 1600 * 1200. But is it worth digging up the original photos or will the copies on Flickr do?

depends on the size of print you want(photo quality is 300 dpi), but its always best to use the originals, so dont be so lazy and get searching, if you know the format (jpeg etc) the date it was taken (should tell you on flickr) and use "search" with the details you know, you shouldnt have too hard a job to find them.

What size are you looking to print?

Nah, nothing too fancy or high quality.

    Just want standard prints - 6" X 4" probably.

Cheers elven. I reckon they'll be fine so..

Might see if I can dig up the originals but if not, i'd say the copies up on Flickr will do.

    Thanks all.

snapfish have a deal involving 20 or 40 free 6x4s at the moment if that's any help.
