Sky TV picture fuzzy

Appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction on this. Over the past weekend my Sky TV picture has become snowy. I haven't added any other video equipment into the equation and even when I push the TV Guide or services buttons the picture is snowy, so I guess it's not the actual signal. I've reseated all the cables, but no improvement. Prior to this past weekend, the picture was perfect.

    Thanks
    Jon

are you using a scart connection?

    sounds like RF connection.

If you disconnect your TV aerial does the SKyBox picture become clear?

if so, where in the country are you and do you know what UHF channel is used for the RF out?
there might be DTT (digital terrestrial) tests on your RF modulator channel in your area - which would cause 'snow'...

move SKybox to a new UHF channel.

If the box is feeding just one TV you should use a SCART connecter which would be unaffected.

I'm using a SCART connection, but I don't have a 'standard' aerial, just the Sky dish.
The RF channel is set to default (68) - I tried changing to another number, but with no joy.

Try changing the picture format to rgb on the picture settings menu of the digibox.

Have you anything else such as a DVD connected to the tv, If so what is the picture like using this?? Also try settings on your tv...such as bringing the sharpness down...

Also what is your signal strength and quality bars like?

try connecting the tv to the scart marked vcr on the digibox and if you have more than one scart socket on the tv try both

Or maybe try a different scart lead?

I bought a new Scart lead today and it's done the trick.

    Thanks all for the suggestions.
