Watched this the other day, anyone seen it? thought it was very funny, good choice of actors, John C Reilly was good in lead role, supporting cast mostly good. To anyone who hasn't heard of it it's a biopic (of sorts) about a fictional singer/songwriter (kind of Johnny Cash like) be warned though, it is very silly! great music though & lots to entertain!

Watch the directors cut if poss, it's a half hour longer!

I saw Knocked up and Superbad, though they were ok just, this imo has a lot more laughs in it! is it the directors cut that you're watching? i'm not sure what scenes will be different....

Just to re-iterate, it is VERY silly & not all of it hits the mark, but still totally worth it!

Yeah, I have the director's cut. Only got to watch half of it last night but what I saw I absolutely loved.

It's not as smart and funny as 'Knocked Up' but probably smarter and funnier than 'Superbad'. That's just my opinion!

There are some hit and miss moments but I thought there was much more gold than not. Don't go in there expecting something very intelligent.. it's pretty low-brow but it's how a parody should be made. John C Reilly is top-notch.. puts Will Ferrell and Ben Stillers comedic ability to shame.

And my favourite scene so far - probably the best impression i've seen of Bob Dylan... spot on and hilarious:

    Off to finish it now!

That was lol inducing! class! :D

Knocked Up & Superbad were decent I thought, but I didn't find them "laugh out loud" funny, different types of humour though as Walk Hard is just plain daft!

The Director's Cut? From seeing it in the cinema, I can't imagine they would have left anything out.

Knocked Up was a fantastic movie with really smart and witty humour. Walk Hard was just plain silly and was excellent for it.
    Limp penis, anyone?

i havent seen the original cut, but the directors cut was far too long. i just wanted it to be over near the end.

there's some genuinely very funny stuff in here, but sadly it misses a lot more than it hits.

I loved his drummer (you don't want no part in this sh!t!), but then again I think Tim meadows is great, ever since i saw him in the Ladies Man (cracking show).

thought jack white's elvis was pretty funny too..

there's no way a movie like this should be two hours long, 80-90 minutes is pleanty imo..
