    Death Via Satellite is a rocktacular, electro/new wave/indie night that holds court one Friday a month in Eamonn Dorans, Dublin. Gathering momentum and a loyal crowd since July 2006, DVS brings the best bands to you with minimum fuss and maximum noise

    After 10 great shows on Tuesday nights, where we've already seen the likes of Love Lies Sleeping (L.A., USA), The Kits (Australia), Queen Kong, alazurussoul, Mendoza, The Ultra Montanes, Kopek, mojoFURY, Fight Like Apes, DC Pakt, Orphan Code, Distractors, Autoban, Laundry Shop & Stagger Lee play storming shows, we've moved to Friday nights so that hangover can be dealt with on a Saturday in bed rather than Wednesday in work...

    Our next show is Friday 28th March in Eamonn Dorans, with a line up that includes a headline set by tipped electrorock outfit THE ECLECTIC with synth heavy glam-pop from THE IDIOT keeping the stage warm.     THE ECLECTIC fuse atmospheric soundscapes and ambient synth-led luscious texture with some damn fine alt-rock sensibilities to create a meticulously detailed journey into paranoia and disquiet, their recent EP ‘Breathe’ just itching to be the soundtrack to one man’s descent into an unknown and unnerving future… Live they create a dense fog of interweaving musical melodies that has drawn in many to date…

    THE IDIOT play edgy pop music from the shagpile carpet burn and streetlit a-cup of urban living. Strange fixations and bad behaviour breed among synths and guitars, with disco beats and glam riffs framing a solitary figure in the night.

    Since forming in early 2007, VERONA RIOTS have admired and aspired to Interpol's texture and atmosphere, the swagger of the Kings of Leon, the manic energy of Wolf Parade and the tearful joy of Arcade Fire. They release their debut EP later this year so witness their happening at DVS 17.

    Checked out these guys myspace, both are synth-y alright, sounds like a change from your usual Stone Roses wannabe fest in Dublin ;) May check this one out...
