    Hi All,

As title suggests we have had to close Winners Card Club due to lack of business.

Nick and myself will jointly run a €10k Guaranteed deepstack tournie after my JP Poker Masters once a month.

We will also be looking for an alternative venue to hold a Friday night game.

    Thanks

Just shows what a tough business it is at the moment.
So much competition for punters and the tinternet is on 24 7
    more clubs could easily follow.

Keeping small poker rooms alive is almost impossible. They need to be big and have multiple sources of income. The majority of small to medium clubs in Ireland aren't really making much money. Those that do survive mostly through the casino games but the poker needs to be there to get people in the door. I would never consider getting involved in another poker room without a at least a 4 figure investment.

surely 4 figures is tiny? dont you mean larger?

Wanted to visit the club, but found it difficult to find out what tourney's were on, , ,

Im sure you dont need my advice! but . . . . ..

If you re open it ever, you should consider posting a tourney schedual on-line and update it regularly

Oh ! and get a free listing in Golden pages, (( this will mean you can be found on 11811/90 etc - tried to get your number a few times! to find what was on -( /where you were etc)- but no joy))

Definitely still a 'gap' in the market for a dedicated poker card room in that area. (general south side)

I think people underestimate how much traffic this site can bring to their tourney's.

    All the best.
