    Helloooooo!
I find it ridiculously hard to buy nice womens shoes in a size 8/9 in Dublin without either having to fork out a couple of hundered euro for them, or having to settle for something not so nice purely because I need shoes and have to settle for what shops have, which I find to be very little.
I've looked in Arnotts and stuff; they've a line called Cinderella or something, but to be completely honest, they only have drag queen type stuff, veeeeeeeery garish! Heeellllp!

Hi - have the same problem myself! Have tons of horrible size 9 shoes which I panic buy because "at least they fit"! Am currently wearing my Allstars 100% of the time!!! :D

I have found larger size cheap shoes in Evans, Clarkes (occasionally), Barretts, and Next.

You might find something on this website also www.tallgirls.co.uk - I've ordered a couple of times but tbh I've found the quality v. poor. Maybe I was just unlucky though.

I agree about Cinderella shoes - when I heard about it at first I was like "Hurrah! At Last!!!" - but the shoes are all v. old fashioned - nothing trendy or cute at all. I think they have moved to Stephen's Green now - maybe they'll get some new lines.

    Faith is your answer!!

Im a size 9/10 and in love with shoes, we're talking 50/60 pairs.

Ok, given I work in a shoe shop with discount thats really not that bad, but Faith do up to 9's in pretty much all their shoes. And they're arent THAT expensive.

ok, the website is down ATM, but check it out later
    www.faith.co.uk they have a size 9 section :)

    Happy shopping :)

I have size 8 feet but I do know that New Look do up to a size 9 and the have wide fitting shoes too. There's always a big selection. Unfortunatley they're not in the city centre but it is worth a look

I'm an 8.5 and feel your pain! I get most of my shoes from Next coz they go up to a 43 (a REAL 9!) It drives me insane when I go into a shop and say do you have a size 8 and they come out with a 41 ... that's a 7, not an 8!!!! aaagh!

    A 41 is a womens 8, and a men's 7.
There is a different sizing block for both.

I'm a size 9/10 anyway lol its not that big a deal, like there used to be nowhere you can get shoes, but theres at least 8 places I can think of off hand between town and Dundrum where you can get 9/10s

Aldo, Barrotts, Clarks, Evans, Faith, Next, Office, Shoe....

Ugh I understand too, mine are usually size 8s (but you're right, if it's a small fit and they only go to an 8, we're screwed).

Clarks do a wide fit, and sometimes i actually end up in a 7.5 in theirs. I think a lot of places have started stocking these sizes now.

I have a lovely pair of heels in a 9 from barratts. only wore them once as hate heels but mostly because I cant get them to fit!

i am the same too!! around a size 8/9...its so awkward! and the vast majority of size 8's are too small for me. i looked at those cinderella shoes before and they aren't a bit nice :( we need something young and funky.

now clarkes size 8 is fairly generous in most sizes, and they go up to a 9 sometimes. definitly always worth trying on shoes in there.

evans as already mentioned do up to size 10 but their shoes are only ok and sometimes only come in wide fitting, whereas i need the normal width but size 9. grr.

that shoe shop "camper" go up to size 9 also. they are in dublin on whatever street tower records is on, but further down.

the brand "irregular choice" are now stocking 9's (size 43) now.

faith as already mentioned have 9's too, and i noticed alright that barrets had a sign up saying they had some shoes in size 9. its a very small 9 though. i was cringing when i tried on the 9 and it was too small lol.

the shoe brand "fly" have some lovely shoes and their size 8 is very generous, in fact i have a pair of their shoes in a 7.

    good luck!!!

will you let me know what the size 9's are like?

I have countless Iregular Choice on my 'OMG I have to have them' list, but I can't find anywhere that will stretch them for me.

I actaully got a pair, (the pin stripe with the tape measure bow (they remain my favourite shoes of all time)) In an 8 and forced myself around DD in them for two hours, before the pain got too much and I had to return them.

I realise I'm really lucky now! I always used to think my feet were massive. I take a size 7, but worked in a shoe shop and have seen so, so many women with bigger feet. I remember one woman came in and she wore men's size 13. That's a women's 14. She used to wear desert boots, as it was all she could manage, the poor girl. It didn't look bad though, I have to say. Another woman took kid's 13. That's a bit better off, but only just. Some of the kids stuff is okay.

Anyway, Barratts have an okay-ish selection of shoes up to a 10, and during the sale, there's often plenty of them around, especially boots. Evans, as suggested, seems pretty good too.

Also, Topshop goes up to a size 42, equal to a women's 9, more or less. I don't know how they fit, but it's worth a try.

shazpunk - I still think 41 is a 7.5! It even says so on the Irregular Choice webpage! :) This is GREAT news though about Irregular Choice! I'm gonna find me a pair of new shoes now :D

EDIT: you guys are great!!! The Irregular Choice shoes are FAB!!! And the are in a 9!!!!!!!!!!!! *gets frantically ordering!*

Would ebay not be a good place for large ladies shoes?

Its the best place I have found for mens large sizes anyway.
