Can the airport express be used with USB external hard drives

I'm thinking of getting an airport express and using an external hard drive with it. I was hoping that you might be able to connect a external hard drive to the USB connector and share this across the wireless network. It would seem really cool as the speed is now 802.11n.

I know this can be done using the airport extreme but i'm not too sure if this can be done using an airport express.

Is there much of a price difference between the two devices. I love the Airtunes ability on the express but it's not included on the airport extreme

    Thanks

No you can't. It integrates with iTunes etc, and so a plain hard drive won't work with it.
If it did, you can be pretty damn sure that Apple would advertise this and try to pass it off as their invention.

pity cause I would love to have that feature. Is there any product that's similar to the airport express that would have that feature.

I love the airport express cause it's small, has the airtunes feature and can be used as a wireless access point.

I have a hard drive hooked up to my Airport Express, why don't you do that?

Aren't there TWO modes of operation for this Airport Express?

Airport Express can't use a USB HD in any mode of operation as far as I know.
